Night Guard: a removable, custom fitted appliance that fits between the upper and lower teeth that works to prevent the wearing of teeth due to clenching and grinding.
Overbite: the overlapping of the lower teeth by the upper teeth.
Plaque: a sticky deposit on teeth.
Quadrant: your teeth are divided into four quadrants- upper right, upper left, lower right, and lower left.
Root Canal: a procedure to replace infected pulp in the root of a tooth. This is one of the many services we provide at Home Town Dental.
Saliva: the liquid secreted into the mouth by the salivary glands.
Teeth: the pearly white, enamel-coated structures in you mouth that are attached to your jaw.
Using a toothbrush, dental floss and mouthwash are very important in maintaining good dental hygiene.
Veneer: a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface.
